Hmmmâ?¦what to say about me? (I'm my least favorite subject to talk about.) I love the out-of-doorsâ??camping, hiking, walking, driving, exploringâ??just about anything you can do outside. Photography is a passion of mine--you'll never see me without my camera in my hands, or at least within grabbing distance. I love mountains and water of all sorts--oceans, lakes, rivers, pools and even puddles!

I enjoy music, books and movies (oh, also shoppingâ??dare I admit that?). I love to try new things; there are a lot of things on my bucket list. I'll try almost anything at least once, as long as it's not life-threatening or illegal. :)

I still have one teenager at home, and have had to adjust to not having little ones around all the time. I love children of all ages--thank goodness for my grandchildren!

I love to travel, anywhere near or far. I love to discover new places, or revisit old favorites. Some of my favorites are Hawaii, Alaska, Italy, Switzerland and the Jackson Hole area.

I enjoy people: watching them, talking to them, pondering on the quirkiness of the brain that makes people say and do the things they do. I have a lot of interests--kind of that 'Jack (or Jane) of all trades, master of none' type of person. I've been accused of being a social butterfly. I'm not sure if that's good or bad, but I do like to talk and butterflies are pretty, so I'll take it as a compliment!

I think my best qualities are listening, caring, cheerfulness, an interest in people of all sorts, and a casual, easygoing attitude, yet I know what's important and what should be a priority in my life. I've been told I have intense eyes that sparkle when I tease, and I have an infectious smile that will hopefully make you smile too. My sense of humor tends to be a little sarcastic, but I would never seriously say a mean thing to or about anyone. I also have a particular fondness for physical contact of the innocent type.

So, thatâ??s me in a rather large nutshell. Oh, one last thing--My brothers accuse me of being a flower child as a teenager, but I really just embraced the music and clothes. How wild can you be, growing up in Provo and going to BYU? But I still love tie-dye and peace signs. They are making a comeback though--maybe people will just think I'm hip, not outdated. :)

I have not gone to college yet, when I do I plan on studying to either be a chem or art teacher, minor American Sign Language (right now I only know some basic babysitting phrases and cannot wait to learn more.). I went to vocational school and have my national and state Pharmacy Tech license, I love that job :), unfortunately right now I am unemployed and job scavenging.

I like getting out of the house and hanging out with my friends, chillin at the library or park all day. I like playing Frisbee, tennis, and badminton. Going swimming, camping (Indoors or out ;), watching random movies, hot cocoa and conversations, sleeping, paint fights, dancing and listening to music, and when I get the chance (sadly doesn't happen often) archery!

I honestly do not know why or understand the need for this section to be a five-hundred word essay... It is Rather bitten, not to mention the topic is overly broad. I like more narrowed questions when it comes to getting to know people. Like the ones they have after this box. They offer a minor discussion with out it being to much of a fill out form.

Disclaimer: I am normally very articulate, just not so much online. I suck at this part. I am very good at other parts and very, very good at a few parts, but I suck at finding a clever way to introduce myself to people online.

I work very hard at trying to be outgoing and sociable even though it's killer for me. I'm alot more shy than many of my friends even realize. I have a healthy appreciation for my attributes and talents, and I like to have a good time where ever I am. I have a goofball. sarcastic, wicked, naughty, and irreverent sense of humor that I try to employ as frequently as possible. I find philosophy and theology academically fascinating but I don't subscribe to any one school of thought in my own life. I have been known to win at Jeopardy (at least in my own living room). I have a puppy and an 8 yr old daughter. I'm a RN. I am VERY allergic to nuts, but not peanuts, weird, eh?

Hooo boy. There's a bit much here to be puttin' in a few sentences, so you're better off asking me. Though, I'ma give it a try anyhow. My name's Matt, and I'm an English Education major, planning on going into teaching. Personality wise, I tend to be rather cynical and perhaps sarcastic, but not to the point of dark and broody (unless you go for that... then never mind). I also try to be on the sensitive side.

I tend toward the introversion (but not broody... I promise (disclaimer: promise does not indicate actual promise)), but enjoy good conversation. I enjoy humor of all brows, high, low... and other (If Spongebob, Jon Stewart and Bevis & Butthead were to interbreed, I could die a happy man).

Pretty much I just found myself struck with wanderlust. Recently, I've visted Scotland (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Ft. William, Stirling, Anaoch Mor), London, and last year visited London and The Netherlands. I've also spent almost two years in Poland teaching English, an experience I found amazing, in many ways. I traveled to Auschwitz, passed a sobriety test from the Polish police, learned to deal with a sociopath landlady who didn't speak English, survived an aggressive pervert on a night train from Prague, got past crooked Ukrainian officials, hassled with dishonest bosses, and rode a few statues. So... it was fun. I am rather obsessed with travel and getting to know cultures, and at least attempting languages.

I'm fairly easy going, I'm also pretty hard to upset most of the time. I am a pretty outdoorsy kid, I usually go camping (with my scout group) at least once a month plus a ton more during the summer. I'm endlessly amazed by nature and things that go along with it. I can be quite a bit of a nerd sometimes. I also love video games, keep in mind I'm not good at very many of them but I love them. Oh, I'm also a mac person, but I'm a mac person by habit rather than anything else. In fact i'd quite like a pc for games. I think secretly I like scaring myself. I get scared really easily which is a bad thing, unless I'm doing it to myself then I love it! I change my hair on a fairly regular basis, just because I can. I moved to Utah about 3 years ago. I have made the most of it, and love Utah now. I cant get enough of the outdoors. There is so much to do. Camping, hiking fishing, photography, 4x4, geocaching. I love thunderstorms! The rain is awesome...I think that one of the best things ever is just curling up in the dark for a scary movie with the thunderstorm outside as background noise. I like to just sit and watch/listen to storms. I find them relaxing, although my poor little doggie disagrees. A lot. Haha my dog happens to be deathly afraid of storms.

I am one of the funniest dudes with a dont give a shit attitude that sometimes gets me into trouble. I love to just mess around and have fun ANYWHERE, my favorite place being Wal-Mart baby! I believe that there is no such thing as boring places, just boring people and that is not me! I am one of the biggest dorks you will ever meet, but I love that about myself. I do love myself, like really.

I have full confidence in myself and my abilities. I am VERY clear about where and what and by what times I want things in my life. People " Say " they are goal oriented, but I will tell you right now that you probably will NEVER meet one of them that actually has a goal, let alone has it written down and carries it around in his pocket like this guy. I love life, when I wake up, I hit the ground running because I am so excited that I am going to have a crazy adventure today. I am adventurous, I will drive to vegas at 3 in the morning for no reason at all.

I have one of the biggest most awesome social circles a person could ever dream of and its filled with the most awesome quality people you will ever meet. My friends and family are the greatest people in the world, they are very supportive and we help each other out. I have some of the coolest weirdest skills ever. I am the most, happy, loving, supportive, funny, awesome, supportive, positive, knowledgeable, spontaneous, dorky, and weirdest person you will ever meet!

I have 3 wonderful kids. Twin boy and girl ten year olds, and an awesome 16 year old young man. I love being a dad, and my kids are my greatest achievement. I really enjoy the simple things in life. Being with my family. Reading to my kids, putting them to sleep at night. Helping with homework and making interesting dinners for them. I can't say that I am a great cook, but sometimes I can get them to eat what I have made!
I work as an electrical engineer for the local power company. I have a very stable and good career. I have been there 17 years now. Realistically I could retire in 9 years and then I would work on contract jobs for the state and grow my photography and t-shirt business. I have a dual personality in that I enjoy the technical aspects of my day job, but love the arts, photography, and developing my skills in those areas.
One thing that gives me great satisfaction in both my jobs is helping other people. In my job at the power company I run into a lot of people that are down on their luck and need a little help. I enjoy working through the bureaucratic bs and finding a solution that helps people rather than penalizing them.
I have been told that I wear my heart on my sleeve. I really am, just a nice, kind, hard working guy. An optimist, and a romantic.
One thing that is really important to me is being physically fit. I usually work out twice a day. Run, and lift weights. I go at lunch, and late at night once the twins are in bed. I would rather spend the evenings with someone special rather than a bunch of sweaty guys at the gym.
I need to find more photos to upload of myself as I believe the one I do have up might be misleading. I was relaxing after shooting a wedding in this one. I am normally a t-shirt and jeans or shorts and flip flops type.

I'm an outgoing person and thrive on interaction with others. I enjoy making people laugh and laughing myself. I'm thoughtful, and I have this freakish ability to get people to open up to me. It's not malicious, I promise. Apparently I have a good listening ear, heh.

I love getting to know people that are different from me. People that have different upbringings, different views on life, and I love picturing the world through their eyes and seeing how much different it seems. We can always disagree without being disagreeable.

I love to laugh. I think it's healthy and it makes us better people when we can see the humor in everything.

I consider myself agnostic. I don't doubt that there might be a higher power, but I haven't had any concrete evidence to that end, so I operate on the assumption that there isn't until I do. I might be wrong, and only time will tell.

I tend to not get along well with anyone that is closeminded, though your mileage may vary. Aolspeak and lack of grammar or at least a decent attempt at correct spelling drive me insane. Spelling DOES matter, people. It's just plain laziness if you don't take the time to do it properly.

I like peanut butter. It's been my favorite food for a couple of years now, and I have a magical ability of finding peanut butter anything. Ice cream, bread, hot cocoa. However, a couple days ago my partner decided to switch me over to organic peanut butter, and I haven't dipped my finger into the jar yet. Why?
